Product

Thomas Pink’s commitment to responsible manufacturing extends to partners large and small. We source our materials from suppliers who are committed to sustainable agriculture with factories that meet stringent standards of environmental compliance. Our principal fabric mills, such as Albini, have control over their supply chain. This includes the ability to trace every metre of fabric produced all the way to the farm where the original cotton was sourced. And they are accredited at both national and international levels for environmental standards, chemical management and social responsibility. We also work closely with our mill partners to source premium, surplus fabrics. This is to avoid the significant carbon footprint required for ‘virgin’ production and also to reduce waste. Our trademark Thomas Pink buttons, meanwhile, are made from sustainable, pure mother of pearl as opposed to plastic. They are sourced from areas in the Pacific Ocean where the marine environment is safeguarded by regional governments (eg Tahiti and Australia), and where the industry provides important work for local people.

Packaging

Packaging

Thomas Pink uses ecommerce boxes that are 100% plastic-free and made using recycled and recyclable card. These are printed with water-based inks and labelled using water-soluble adhesives. Resealable closures remove the need for additional tape to ensure that our boxes remain plastic free even for returns. Thomas Pink currently uses collar supports for our shirts and polybags made from recyclable plastic. This is an area we would like to improve. Therefore, we are working with suppliers to create entirely plastic-free alternatives which we hope to introduce in the near future.
